Six Senses Kaplankaya Spa
Six Senses Kaplankaya
Turkey
What can you tell us about your luxury spa?
For a resort that provides guests and residents with a truly integrative approach to optimal wellness, it is no surprise that Six Senses Spa Kaplankaya spans 107,640 square feet (10,000 square meters). It is spread over two floors, with traditional artifacts and healing visual art pieces enhancing the experience and offering gentle moments to pause and reflect.
Spa visitors are welcomed into an open-plan spa arrival lounge, which is located on the second floor. The space feels like a gallery, with different areas to move through and view the curated collections of Six Senses yoga and lounge wear, skincare products, accessories and gifts from local artisans. There is also a cozy seating area for relaxation and a healthy drinks corner. This flows through to the Meditation Cave, Hair and Nail Salon and Barber Shop.
The impressive Alchemy Bar provides a great setting for wellness workshops, during which guests learn in-depth alchemy, as well as cooking classes using local produce and ingredients.
Low lights punctuate the high-ceiling corridor, guiding visitors towards the expansive female and male changing areas and hydrothermal facilities. Using the physical properties of water in several different forms, these facilities provide an alternative yet therapeutic way to ease muscle aches and boost overall well-being. As the muscles relax, the mind becomes calmer, creating optimum conditions for achieving the best results during a treatment or wellness activity.
There are also traditional Turkish hammams, 38 treatment rooms, numerous relaxation spaces, an indoor swimming pool and a Watsu pool. Located on the same floor, a fitness center featuring Technogym cardio and resistance machines inspires every workout thanks to the breathtaking ocean backdrop. An in-house exercise physiologist and personal trainers are available to help anyone who has a particular area of concern. In addition, there is a weights and movement room, private Kinesis studio, Pilates studio, yoga studio, cycling studio and a wallyball/racquetball court. Guests can work out in group or private classes to achieve their fitness goals.
There is an outdoor platform dedicated to yoga and meditation practice overlooking the Aegean Sea. Group and private classes are on offer and help balance energy centers, and bring harmony and peace.
Moving up to the third floor, Health & Healing is home to health, wellness and fitness assessments. These include a non-invasive wellness screening which analyzes key physiological biomarkers, BOD POD (body composition), cardio metabolic testing or a more focused consultation with a medical doctor. The aim is for guests to gain an insight into their health, enjoy personalized advice and subsequently follow bespoke programs designed specifically to their needs.
