What can you tell us about your luxury spa?
Our 4000 sq ft. AWAY Spa is an escape within our escape. Located in a hilltop on a secluded area of W Punta de Mita, AWAY Spa is inspired in a jungle cave surrounded by the lush jungle and protected by the cooling shade of an ancient fig tree which is more than 300 years old. Its welcome area features natural stone floors and walls paired with beige, white, green, and blue. A vibrant statement chandelier crafted from glass flowers in the colors of a Mexican sunset, signature spa scent, and curated spa playlist heighten the serene scene. Plush modern armchairs and coffee tables tempt you to recline and sip our signature chlorophyll water and fresh beverages from the adjacent juice bar as you prepare for your custom treatment, performed with organic, natural, and effective spa products from Babor and Eminence.
On the far end of the cave, 5 private treatment cabins wait for the patient guest where they will experience a relaxing (or energizing) treatment which can be finished by visiting our ludic pools and hydrotherapy circuit. Perched on the pond’s edge, overlooking the jungle through open walls, these intimate cabins debut the same peaceful vibe and décor as the entry, washed in natural light. Treatment beds are perfectly placed over glass cutouts in the floor revealing the fishpond below.
The spa also has a Beauty bar with 6 quick-fix pods which can give services from 15 minutes up to 45 minutes such as pedi, mani, hair and makeup.

Our guests have access to a relaxation deck and hydrotherapy circuit with immersion pools both hot and cold, sauna, steam room, sensation shower, ludic pools with pressurized jets and also an ice fountain. Another fabulous experience our AWAY Spa has is the Hidden Meditation labyrinth, unique to the area which helps our guests reconnect with the here and now.
Any insider tips
Guests should try our Beauty Bar quick fixes which are fast but with long-lasting results; adding this to their spa experience will help them complete their escape. If there is not much extra time, guests can personalize their treatments with aromatherapy rituals. Another cool thing is our complimentary apothecary workshops where guests learn to create artisan products and local handcrafts.
For more fun activities at the resort, check out the Wave Surf Shop which offers rental equipment for everything from surfing, kite surfing, and kayaking to snorkeling and scuba diving. For children, we have Kids Club, which features a welcoming indoor area with juvenile furnishings alongside didactic toys, books, two computer workstations, a TV with DVD player, and more. An outdoor playground houses swings in a private garden. Inventive activities amplify the entertainment. Options range from cookie baking and piñata parties to arts and crafts—like paper-mâché and mask making—to beach activities, such as sandcastle building and treasure hunts to sports.
