What can you tell us about your luxury spa?

Six Senses Spa Douro Valley is entered down ceremonial stairs flanked with incised bronze plaster and a wall covered in squared shelving where candles are lit throughout the day. The reception area is a lively place to interact, where guests can peruse a selection of glamorous caftans, spa and yoga clothing for male and females, jewelry, swimsuits, robes and T-shirts, art and objects as well as a wide offering of beauty products and fragrances from The Organic Pharmacy and Biologique Recherche brands.

The 2.200 square meter spa (24.00 square feet) has 10 treatment rooms and all have windows looking out over secret gardens and water features or stunning views of the valley. Relaxation pods have huge collar cushions to support the back and neck and a lovely amenity pantry.

The enormous indoor pool and Vitality Suite area are unparalleled in both size and indulgence. One’s worldly troubles float away to the expansive view on imposing trees of the hotel park and over the river Douro.

On the other side, the fitness area is concealed behind frosted glass walls, offering an amazing view and a generous area for stretching and cooling down and yoga lessons.

Just on the side of the expansive indoor pool a massive wooden table is set in front of a beautiful iron and wooden cabinet where old pharmacy ceramic and glass pots store all the ingredients necessary for the Alchemy Bar workshop. In this workshop guests can learn, hands on, how to make home and beauty products based on natural ingredients.

Biologique Recherche is a prescriptive, results-driven skin care brand with a range of highly concentrated products. The ideology behind this brand is that everyone’s skin is unique, and ‘skin types’ don’t exist. Biologique Recherche refers to ‘Skin Instants®’, which is a snapshot of your skin at that particular moment in time.
Please note that your dedicated therapist will recommend the most suitable facial for your skin based on the results of your skin instant lab and all treatments are always tailored to your personal needs.

Skin Analysis with Skin Instant Lab 30 minutes
Using specialized probes and customized software, Skin Instant Lab provides a proper skin diagnosis and accurate results which allow our therapists to design a personalized treatment just for you. In addition to a manual evaluation of the skin, this software helps us identify water loss, lipid barrier function, elasticity, pigmentation levels as well as oiliness of the skin.

Soin Restructurant et lissant 90 minutes
Soin Restructurant et Lissant is an excellent anti-stress treatment working in harmony with the lymphatic and circulatory system. This protective and repairing booster calms, hydrates and sculpts. Contains Amino Acids, Fatty Acids, Royal Jelly, Squash and Hyaluronic Acid.

Soin Second Skin (includes Skin analysis) 90 minutes
